The cultural scene of the seafaring neighborhood
Teatret del Serrallo, a cultural space open to the public
The old Pòsit, located in the current Moll de Pescadors, is a emblematic building in the Serrallo neighborhood, near the Church of Sant Pere. Built around 1910 and integrated into the Fishermen's Center in 1929, officially opened in 1932 with a café on the ground floor and dance hall on the first floor. During the Civil War it suffered damage, and between 1944 and 1945 it hosted the Escola del Pòsit.
The clock of the building was designed in 1956, and the Pòsit maintained an intense cultural and social activity until the 1980s, when a partial abandonment began. In 2003 the new Fish Market was built, and in 2011 the Tarragona Port Authority acquired the building to restore it and give it social and cultural uses.
The building currently has:
-Ground floor: restaurant with porch and terrace, respecting the original structure.
-First floor: large room with small theater for cultural activities (capacity 146 people), with connection to the terrace.
-Second floor: Port City offices, upper terrace overlooking the seafront and organization of events that strengthen the Port-city relationship.
The iconic clock once again marks the time, symbolizing the history and tradition of the Serrallo fishing district.

Voramar
The Voramar Festival is a musical cycle that takes place between the months of May and June on the terrace of the Teatret, in a privileged environment by the sea. The proposal is committed to small-format and local concerts, designed to enjoy live music in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, with emerging artists and current musical proposals.
The festival combines music with a sensory experience linked to the territory, often accompanied by wine tastings from the nearby DO, and has established itself as one of the cultural events of the spring nights in the Serrallo. The concerts, with limited capacity, allow us to create a close relationship between artists and the public in a unique setting overlooking the port.

Racons de Mar
The Racons de Mar cycle is a cultural festival that begins at the beginning of summer and transforms several emblematic spaces of the Port of Tarragona into musical and artistic scenarios. The proposal, promoted by the Teatret del Serrallo, combines concerts with other cultural initiatives with the aim of bringing culture closer to the outdoor spaces of the port area.
The festival also incorporates new creative proposals with the participation of the cultural collective Tarraco Crea, which gives visibility to artists from the territory through a Marketplace space with workshops and samples of disciplines such as illustration, design, jewellery or photography, and is complemented by a gastronomic offer to offer a complete cultural experience.
