In this section you will find which sources of documents you have at your disposal. In the majority of them you have access to download the inventory of the units which make them up.
Public administration source of documents
Protection Board of Port Works Collection: 1714-1878
Documentation of the first board that manages the port works between 1790 and 1836.
It consists of 185 units documentaries.

Board of Port Works Collection - Tarragona Port Authority: from 1869 to the present
It is an open source which expands daily with the documentation transferred by different management teams and departments of the Tarragona Port Authority. It consists of more than 16,122 documented units.

Aggregated ports Collection: 1927-1969
Documents containing information on the Ports of Cambrils, Salou and L'Ametlla del Mar during a period when they depended on the Port of Tarragona. It consists of 51 documented units.

Port of Tarragona Workshop School Collection: 1992-1995
It consists of 115 documented units of the activities carried out by the Port of Tarragona Workshop School created in 1992 to enhance the various trades associated with the construction of traditional boats of our coast, and the recovery of various important vessels for our Port.

Lighthouse Collection: from 1864
Contains documents of Tarragona coast lighthouses (from Torredembarra to the Delta del Ebro). It consists of 82 documented units.

Centre for Maritime Studies and Activities of the Port of Tarragona Collection: 1991-2005
Includes 108 documented units of this association created to manage social and cultural activities of the Port of Tarragona.
Commercial and Enterprise collection

Tarragona Ship owners SA Collection: 1919-1998.
It consists of 225 documented units and about a hundred plans of the documents generated by this construction and ship repair company which were operating at the Port from 1918 to 2000.
Other administrations collections

Maritime Holdings Collection: 1859-1998
Entered in 2008 and 2011, consists of 158 units and includes four series: sheets of ship settlements, office and staff roles, navigation and fishing licenses and annotation books of maritime registration.

Castellarnau Collection: 1608-1866
It is a private collection of Josep Anton de Castellarnau who was the treasurer of the Board for the Protection of Works of the Port of Tarragona. It consists of 8 documented units.

Association collection

Fernando Pons Prat Collection: 1959-1977
Fernando Pons Prat was a shipowner from El Serrallo of Tarragona. The collection contains projects, plans, photographs and documentation of the fishing boats pescaPachicha, La Cruz, Juanita, Sanjaime and Pio XII.

Fons Serrano Suñer Collection: 1939-1968
Eduardo Serrano Suñer was director of the Port of Tarragona from 1939 to 1972. The collection consists of three documented units.

Club Nautic Collection: 1915-1998
Entered in 2010, consists of four documented units containing the minute books of the organization from 1928 to 1967, economic and administrative documents, the School of Seamanship, the Rowing Section and photographs.

Marsh Guild Collection : 1751- 2006
Entered in August 2010, it consists of 12 documented units containing the minute books of the organization from 1885 to 1962: inventories, regulations, membership records, accounts, invoices, real estate deeds and projects of works, etc.
