The Port of Tarragona has always been associated with the traffic in vehicles. In fact, historically it has been and continues to be the Port which exports cars destined for countries in the Mediterranean basin and the importing of vehicles from the Far East, mainly South Korea.
One of the many advantages offered by our Port infrastructure is its excellent accessibility by rail to all the facilities devoted to the automobile. This shows that more than 40% of vehicles in the port are operated by rail.
The quality of the facilities and services in Tarragona has led to ANFAC (Associació Nacional de Fabricants d'Automòbils i Camions) having designated the Port of Tarragona as the second best Spanish port in maritime-port logistics operation in the sectoral report it publishes annually.

Per a l'elaboració del Resum mensual s'utilitzen les dades enviades per les Autoritats Portuàries. Aquestes dades, al seu torn, provenen dels manifestos de càrrega, declaracions sumàries de dipòsit temporal, manifestos de pesca, declaracions úniques d'escala i altres documents utilitzats per al càlcul de consum de subministraments i la facturació de les taxes corresponents.
