Josep Maria Cruset visits Port of Barcelona

The president of the Port of Tarragona, Josep Maria Cruset, visited the president of the Port of Barcelona, Mercè Conesa, in what was the entity’s first institutional visit. In the meeting, the presidents of the two ports discussed various matters of interest.

Mr Cruset wished to highlight the importance of the strategic axes that characterise the actions of the Port of Tarragona. These include its international projection, the diversification of traffic types, the promotion of new infrastructure, a commitment to the cruise liner business and, of course, a policy of sustainability.

Josep Maria Cruset also wished to emphasise the need to combine the strategic synergies of the sector and share the businesses the ports have in common. The highest representatives of the two institutions also spoke of the need to continue working on boosting growth in the region.

Mr Cruset stated that the activity and progress of both ports will involve sharing assets and fostering good relations between them. The meeting served to reach agreement on the common strategic aims of the territory and to foster cooperation between the two institutions.
