The cluster’s general assembly was held this morning and, among other business, the new president was nominated
The president of the Port of Tarragona, Josep Andreu, is from today the new president of ChemMed, the chemical, industrial, logistics, academic and scientific cluster of the Tarragona chemical industry. The cluster’s ordinary general assembly was held this morning in the offices of the Tarragona Port Authority and the new president and the rest of the team were appointed.
The new vice president is Josep Francesc Font, from 'AEQT'. Genoveva Climent, the Port of Tarragona’s Marketing and Business Development Manager, is the new director. The secretary general of the AEQT, Fernando Huidobro, is the new secretary of the cluster; Daniel Montserrat, director of AITASA, is the treasurer, and Yolanda Vizcarro, the Port of Tarragona Secretary General of Legal Services, is a member.
The ChemMed general assembly was also taken advantage of to approve the accounts for the year 2017 and the budget for 2018, as well as the membership quotas for the founding members for this year. In the 2017 activities report presented during the meeting, of particular note was the cluster’s participation at Intermodal South America, the Ferrmed Conference, the Argus Petrochemical Markets and the EPCA, among others. With reference to the plans for 2018, the main actions to be undertaken by ChemMed were discussed, including the participation in trade fairs with an international projection.
