On Tuesday the Association for the Promotion of the Port of Tarragona (Agrupació per a la Promoció del Port de Tarragona - APPORTT) celebrated its 25-year history with a lunch at Dock Shed 1 of the Moll de Costa dock. The event was attended by the chairman of the group, Andrew Suriol, the chairman of the Port of Tarragona, Josep Andreu, the association’s founder, Antoni Pujol, and all the members. Also invited to the ceremony were all those figures who have led APPORTT throughout its history.
APPORTT is a non-profit Economic interest Grouping, established in July 1992, which brings together all the economic sectors in the province related to maritime activity. For the past 25 years it has channelled the existing concerns, both private and public, regarding the projection and promotion of the Port.
The main goal of APPORTT is to manage and promote the common interests of the companies of the Port of Tarragona, by coordinating the provision of services in order to aid, develop and improve the results of its members’ business activities, as well as working to position the Tarragona Port infrastructure as a leading port in the Mediterranean.
