The Port of Tarragona is promoting the Break Bulk Europe trade fair
The Port of Tarragona will be present at the Break Bulk Europe 2017 to be held in Antwerp from April 24th to 26th, at the State Ports stand, from where it will provide information about the services and infrastructure it makes available to project cargo loaders, as well as Tarragona’s logistics potential.
The Port of Tarragona's delegation, headed by its chairman Josep Andreu, will travel to the Belgian capital to promote the services offered by the port facility.
Within the framework of this fair, the Port of Tarragona is consolidating its clear determination to contribute to the growth of the logistics sector, by providing new business opportunities for companies specialising in project cargo; while at the same time consolidating its position as one of the ports of reference in the Mediterranean in this type of special cargoes.
One of the best ports in the Mediterranean for project cargo operations
The Port of Tarragona is one of the most specialised ports in the Mediterranean for project cargo operations in terms of the possibilities it offers, since it has specialists in all types of transport and in organising and coordinating these from the point of origin to the destination; with another added value offered by the Port of Tarragona being the skilled workforce provided by the powerful chemical cluster in the area.
The Port infrastructure in Tarragona offers its clients extensive operational areas in the docks, Ro-Ro ramps and excellent accessibility via road and rail. In addition, its strategic location in the Mediterranean endows the Port of Tarragona with an added value compared to the ports of Northern Europe, due to a great extent to the favourable climate that allows project cargo loading operations to be performed outdoors throughout the year.
11 great projects constructed in the Port of Tarragona
Over the last two years 11 project cargo projects have been completed, constructed on the dockside in the Port of Tarragona’s facilities, and exported by sea to international destinations. More projects are currently being constructed.
