The Silver Muse visits Tarragona Cruise Port on its maiden voyage

The luxury cruise ship 'Silver Muse', the new flagship of the Silver Sea company, docked in the Port of Tarragona yesterday on its maiden voyage. Aboard this first cruise ship of the season for Tarragona Cruise Port Costa Daurada were 400 American and European journalists and travel agents, who visited Tarragona city’s Roman sites and historical quarter and then Port Aventura for an exclusive visit to Ferrari Land’s first European theme park. In this way they were able to attend the unveiling and thus try out the Vertical Accelerator - the highest roller coaster in Europe at 112 meters-, the Formula 1 simulators, the two 55 metre high Bounce-back Towers or the circuit for electric vehicles.

Silver Muse

The Silver Muse is a 6 star cruise ship that offers the greatest number of luxury suites of any vessel in the Silver Sea fleet. A brand new luxury liner, built this year, it has capacity for 596 passengers plus 411 people crew. On board there are eleven decks, a swimming pool, an exclusive spa area, a casino, a gym and a theatre that can seat 327 people.

The best cruise ship season for Tarragona Cruise Port Costa Daurada

This year the Port of Tarragona will welcome 40 cruise ships with a total of 40,000 passengers on board. In summer, from June 2nd to September 22nd, Costa Cruises will operate in the Port of Tarragona for the first time, with a vessel with a capacity for 1,725 passengers leaving the Port every Friday.
