Tarragona, the Mediterranean home of Refining and Petrochemicals

The annual meeting of SP Global Platts. Mediterranean Refining & Petrochemicals Summit will be held in Tarragona from 26 to 28 June

On 26, 27 and 28 June, the Port of Tarragona and ChemMed will host the annual international meeting on refining and petrochemicals in the Mediterranean organised by S&P Global Platts. The aim of the event is to bring together refinery managers, petrochemicals manufacturers, dealers in those products, analysts, solution-providers and local infrastructure agents for three days in which they will be able to acquire essential, up-to-date knowledge of the markets that will be of inestimable use for their businesses. They will also have key opportunities to build commercial and industrial relations.

The talks and workshops will offer a practical view of the global and regional environments of the refining and petrochemicals sector, changes in products and prices, and legislative developments, at the same time as explaining new strategies for increased growth, stability and competitiveness.

Promotion at ChemPlastExpo 2019

This week (7- 9 May) ChemMed Tarragona took part in ChemPlastExpo, the industrial trade fair-congress in Madrid that brought together the most innovative solutions in materials, technologies, processes and machinery for the chemicals and plastics industries.

ChemMed took advantage of its presence and positioning at ChemPlastExpo to publicise and promote the Mediterranean Refining & Petrochemicals Summit. During the three days of the exhibition, many visitors to the ChemMed stand expressed an interest in the event to be held in June at the Hotel Gran Palas in La Pineda. The ChemMed representatives reported that they gave out information and promotional material on the Tarragona conference to some two hundred delegates during the three days of the Madrid fair.
