From 6th to 8th of June
This year the Port of Tarragona is once more present at the 2017 International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition (SIL). The commercial goal of the Port of Tarragona in the exhibition is to present its competitive advantages, services and infrastructures in order to consolidate the Port’s facilities as an intermodal logistics platform on the Mediterranean.
Tarragona’s Port infrastructure has participated faithfully in previous SIL exhibitions, with the aim of confirming its Port facilities. By participating in this logistics event, the Port of Tarragona has established contacts with the main players in the field of logistics and transport internationally.
The Port of Tarragona’s goal is to achieve growth in all traffic, in particular in traffic such as general cargo, both in containers and non-containerised. The Port of Tarragona presents a proposal that is logical and competitive, both in terms of price, service and hinterland, as well as an excellent loading capacity and efficient rail connections.
International projection as a logistics hub
The Port of Tarragona is presenting its intermodal strategy as a key element for its international projection, while ensuring a maximum positioning in the Mediterranean. The Port of Tarragona has a firm commitment to intermodality, and especially to the use of the railways; vital to expanding its area of influence to the North and the centre of Europe and for being a benchmark port where container ship lines can load and unload their containers and transport them to the centre of Europe.
