The Port of Tarragona promotes itself as a Mediterranean reference point at the Transport Logistic Fair in Munich

It will present its infrastructure, including the 100 hectares of the ZAL now available to businesses

The Port of Tarragona will participate in Transport Logistic Fair to be held in Munich from 4 to 7 June. A delegation from the Port of Tarragona, led by the its president, Josep Maria Cruset, director general, Ramón Ignacio García, Marketing and Business Development director, Genoveva Climent, and Pedro Bernal, head of the marketing division, will travel to Munich to present the services of the Tarragona port infrastructure. They will be accompanied by businesses from the port community, including Bergé, Euroports and DP World. The Port of Tarragona’s stand will be part of the State Ports Authority stand.

The Transport Logistic trade fair is a business platform and driving force behind the global logistics industry. It has more than 2,200 exhibitors from the principal haulage firms, logistics operators and service companies in the maritime, road, rail and air transport sectors of 62 different countries and receives more than 60,000 visitors. For this reason it is a tremendous opportunity for the Port of Tarragona to present its services and infrastructures to the world’s most important logistics operators.

Port infrastructures at the service of business

Transport Logistic is an opportunity for the Port of Tarragona to promote its services to the top people in global transport logistics and to publicise its infrastructures. These include the new Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL), 100 hectares that is already at the disposal of those companies who wish to set up operations in the Port of Tarragona; the container terminal operated by DP World Tarragona; the “La Boella” intermodal terminal, located in the centre of the port’s logistics services area and open to all companies in the region, and the Puerto Centro intermodal terminal (Guadalajara). The last of these infrastructures will allow the Port of Tarragona to expand its operations to the centre of the Iberian Peninsula and to position itself in what will be the most important intermodal logistics platform in Spain, with the capacity for channelling the main flows of national and international merchandise between rail and road towards the seaports and central Spain.
