Port services must be requested employing certain procedures. Access the tools for formally requesting or communicating the services required for the vessel, the goods or the passage during your stay in our Port.
There are various operating procedures in order to request or communicate the desired operations and services. See which option corresponds in your case.
VIA PORTus
WHAT IS VIA PORTus?
Via Portus is the application for requesting the services of companies working in the Port of Tarragona.
This is a PORT COMMUNITY SYSTEM and a technological platform for the exchange of B2B-type (Business to Business) and B2G-type (Business to Government) electronic documents.
Implementing this system provides a series of advantages, such as de-papering, transparency, traceability of goods, speeding up procedures or authorisations, coordinating operations between terminals and commercial and Port service companies, anticipating information in customs and control bodies, dealing with and understanding the risks for hazardous goods, and the rules for vehicle transit, among many others.
The services can be requested via the web, using the VIAPORTus system, once registered as a user. It is the quickest and easiest way of performing these procedures.

Occupying the Port area (usually as a support for the loading/unloading of a vessel)
Use of the public weighbridge
Supplying water to a vessel
Removing waste from a vessel (MARPOL)
Hazardous goods: requesting entry to the Port zone and notification of entry to/exit from the common European area
Registering the technical specifications of a vessel including the IMO assignation, by consignee profile (for the Port Tarraco Marina only)
Management of vessels making refuelling stops at the Port
Notifications of the arrival of vessels in the Port
Integration of EDI messaging and consulting manifests/summary statements
Consulting dated customs documents corresponding to the maritime customs area
Consulting the customs status of containers
Consulting the location of vessels in the Port: current, previous and historical
Consulting goods that have left the Port area under the system of paperless release documents (for Customs only)
Notifying the use of cranes for the stevedore/docker terminals
Notifying AEAT of the entry/exit of containers

HOW DOES IT WORK??
There are certain activities that need to be reported by filling in and sending the corresponding document for each operation. For your own management you can download the forms and/or standardised formats directly from the Tarragona Port Authority.

SPECIAL TRANSPORT
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Port Police maintain a close and active link with the development of security/safety in the Port of Tarragona. In this regard the Port Police handle permits for special transports and their assistance from entry into the Port area to their destination and vice versa.
This request must be made at least 72 hours prior to the arrival or departure of the transport.
