PREVENPORT is a company created with the aim of providing the port community with a risk management service, under Law 31/1995.
Its creation lies in the conviction and pledge of the President of the Port Authority, a pledge taken to improve and increase the level of protection and wellbeing of all workers making up the port community.
The Port Authority of Tarragona together with Estarraco, Society for Loading and Unloading of the Port of Tarragona, were initially the managing companies of the combined prevention service with the aim of integrating, in a short space of time, all the companies that carry out activities in the Port of Tarragona. Currently there are 30 companies adhering to the Combined Service and 800 workers covered by its service. Thus, a fuller coordination of the preventative measures are reached, improving the safety and health of all the workers implicated.
